The workshop will focus on whip and feather stitch, moss stitch and cable stitch to create a variety of samples using these stitches.  The workshop will review setting your sewing machine for these stitches and explore materials, tricks and tips to achieve a range of stitches. This workshop is suitable for intermediate participants confident in using straight stitch free motion embroidery.  Basic straight stitch is not covered in detail, participants should have knowledge of setting up their machine for free motion.

Bring your own: sewing machine, machine manual, spare bobbins, free motion foot, 8 inch embroidery hoop, scissors, seam ripper, spare machine needles, 2H pencil, pen, notepad/sketchbook, interfacing, 10 inch squares of calico, variety of machine embroidery threads. Materials equipment available for additional cost from tutor:  Variety of machine embroidery threads, variety of thicker threads.
