Byddwn yn arwain digwyddiad 'gwau dirgel' yn seiliedig ar chwedl Gymraeg yn ystod mis Hydref. Ydych chi’n ystyried gwau rhywbeth i rywun arbennig? Dyma gyfle gwych i wneud hynny.  Gyda phum penwythnos ym mis Hydref, byddwn yn rhannu rhan o'n patrwm siôl sydd wedi'i ysbrydoli gan 'Olwen'. Roedd Olwen, yn gymeriad yn y chwedl Culhwch ac Olwen, ac yn ferch i Ysbaddaden Bencawr. Cyfeirir ati hefyd fel 'duwies yr haul' sy'n gysylltiedig â themâu'r celfyddydau a chreadigrwydd. Dyluniwyd y patrwm gan @blethu.wales wedi'i ysbrydoli gan elfennau o chwedl Olwen a themâu’r Mabinogi. Daw'r patrwm mewn 5 rhan, mae rhan 5 yn rhan ddewisol, ganolradd mewn pwythau 'brioche'. Bydd pob rhan arall yn addas i ddechreuwyr ac yn defnyddio amrywiadau o bwyth i’r dde a phwyth i’r chwith a thynnu’r edafedd drosodd. Bydd sesiynau tiwtorial ar-lein yn cael eu postio ynghyd â'r patrwm i helpu i egluro’r pwythau a manylion y patrwm.

We will be leading a Welsh mythology ‘mystery knit-a-long’ during the month of October. Are you looking to knit something for someone special? This is a great opportunity to do so.  With five weekends in October, we will be issuing a section of our shawl pattern inspired by ‘Olwen’. Olwen, a Welsh mythological character, was the daughter of the king of giants - Ysbaddaden. She is also known as the ‘sun goddess’ associated with the themes of arts and creativity. The pattern design by @blethu.wales is inspired by elements of Olwen’s story and themes of the Mabinogion. The pattern will come in 5 sections, section 5 is an optional intermediate ‘brioche’ section. All other sections will be accessible to beginner knitter’s using variations of knit, purl and yarn over. Online tutorials will be posted alongside the pattern to help with stitches and pattern details.

Registration is free, once registered information will be sent via email regarding needles and yarns to help you prepare for October.
